Larkspur & Rose is owned by Melinda and Jeff Barnard Jr. Opening in 2025, Larkspur & Rose is a florist, greenhouse, and retail store serving the Central Aroostook area. Whether you’re picking up a handcrafted bouquet, browsing the greenhouse for your next plant companion, or finding the perfect locally made gift, Larkspur & Rose is rooted in beauty, service, and seasonal inspiration.
The name Larkspur & Rose was inspired by the birth flowers of our children - July’s larkspur and June’s rose. These blooms represent more than just the seasons they’re tied to - they’re reminders of the love, creativity, and purpose behind everything we do.
Generations of Growing
For over a century, 11 Franklin Street in Caribou, Maine, has been a cherished destination for floral enthusiasts and plant lovers. Originally home to Hutchinson’s Flower Shop in the 1960’s, the location became synonymous with blooming beauty and community connection.
In 1988, Kimber and Cindy Noyes embraced this legacy by establishing Noyes Flower and Plant Shoppe at the same address. With a passion for horticulture and a commitment to their community, the Noyes’ transformed the 12,500 square foot greenhouse into a thriving hub for fresh flowers, plants, and personalized arrangements. Their dedication made the shop the oldest operating greenhouse north of Portland, serving Aroostook County with grace and expertise for 50 years.
